First 4 Figures: Video Game Statues, Editions and How to Choose
First 4 Figures makes video game statues: one-pose display pieces of characters from video game series, plus a few anime and cartoon lines. The grid above holds every First 4 Figures listing we track on Amazon US. Two words in each title do most of the deciding: the material (resin or PVC) and the edition (Standard or Collector's). One of these statues stands 37 inches tall, so measuring the room comes before reading the title.

What First 4 Figures makes
First 4 Figures makes statues. Every row in our grid is a one-pose display piece on a base, and almost all are characters from video games. The company's own site says it was established in 2003 and calls itself a maker of collectible figures. It names The Legend of Zelda, Metroid and Super Mario among its licenses, and all three show up in the grid.
In our data, the brand covers statues and a single chibi piece, the Okamiden Chibiterasu vs. Dark Chibiterasu & Possessed Kuni Statuette. A chibi figure is the small, big-headed style. When we pulled the data in October 2026, the grid held a little over 30 listings for Amazon US, with more on the brand's own site.
The game series in the grid, named as the listings name them: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Metroid Prime, Mario Kart, Luigi's Mansion, Kirby, Sonic The Hedgehog, Pac-Man, Crash Bandicoot, Banjo-Kazooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Mega Man X and X4, Okami and Okamiden, Metal Gear Solid, Darksiders and Darkstalkers. Outside games: Yu-Gi-Oh, Avatar: The Last Airbender and Cowboy Bebop.
The two words that decide it: material and edition
Resin or PVC
First 4 Figures titles often say what the statue is made of. That's rare in statue listings, and it's useful.
- Resin: a rigid, heavy material that holds fine detail. Resin titles in our grid: Metroid Prime Meta Ridley 37", Okami Shiranui, Okami Oki (Human Form), Darksiders War, Conker's Bad Fur Day Soldier, Crash Bandicoot, Legend of Zelda Link, Banjo Kazooie (Walrus Banjo), Mega Man X (Black Zero) and Mega Man X4 X (Final Weapon).
- PVC: a plastic with a little more give. PVC titles in our grid: Luigi's Mansion Luigi (Standard), Pac-Man, Yu-Gi-Oh Dark Magician (Blue Variant), Dark Magician Girl, Kirby and The Goal Door, Sonic The Hedgehog Sonic, Okamiden Chibiterasu 10 Inch, Avatar Aang (two listings) and Metroid Prime Samus Gravity Suit.
The data draws a clear line between the two. All but one resin statue in our grid sit in the top two price tiers we use for figures; the Conker's Bad Fur Day Soldier is the exception. The PVC statues sit lower. Some titles don't name the material at all, like the Breath of the Wild Mipha, Daruk and Urbosa listings. For those, check the listing details.
Standard or Collector's Edition
The second word to look for is the edition. Some statues appear twice in the grid:
- Mario Kart Mario Statue and Mario Kart Mario Collector's Edition Statue.
- Avatar: The Last Airbender Aang Standard Edition PVC Statue and Aang PVC Statue.
- Legend of Zelda Breath of The Wild Urbosa Statue and Urbosa Collector's Edition Statue.
Others appear in only one edition here: Kirby and The Goal Door (Standard Edition), Sonic (Collector's Edition), Samus Gravity Suit (Collector's Edition), Mipha and Daruk (Collector's Edition).
The listings in our data don't spell out what a Collector's Edition adds over a Standard. Our advice is simple: open both listings side by side and compare the photos and the parts list. Whatever the difference is, it's in the pictures.
Variants and colors
A few titles add a color or variant name:
- Yu-Gi-Oh Blue-Eyes White Dragon Silver Variant 14 Inch Statue.
- Yu-Gi-Oh Dark Magician PVC Statue (Blue Variant).
- Red Eyes B. Dragon Purple Edition and Yu-Gi-Oh Red Eyes B. Dragon Black Edition.
- Mega Man X (Black Zero).
A variant is the same sculpt in a different paint scheme. The Red Eyes B. Dragon appears in two colors, Purple and Black, as two listings. Pick by the color you want on the shelf. If you're buying a variant as a gift, send the exact listing link to whoever knows the collector's shelf. The character name alone can point at two or three different boxes, and the wrong color is a long way to ship back.
The lineup by series
Series is how most people shop this grid, so here's what each cluster holds.
Breath of the Wild
Five listings: Link (resin, one of the top-tier pieces), Urbosa twice (a Statue and a Collector's Edition, both in the brand's lowest tier in our data), and Mipha and Daruk as Collector's Editions. If you want several characters from the same game to share a shelf, this is the deepest single-game cluster in the grid.
Okami and Okamiden
Four listings: Shiranui and Oki (Human Form), both resin; Chibiterasu as a 10-inch PVC statue; and the Chibiterasu vs. Dark Chibiterasu & Possessed Kuni statuette. The 10-inch PVC is the only one in this group with a stated size.
Yu-Gi-Oh
Five listings, and the most color choices in the grid: Blue-Eyes White Dragon (Silver Variant, 14 inches), Dark Magician (Blue Variant), Dark Magician Girl, and Red Eyes B. Dragon in Purple and in Black.
Mario, Luigi and Kirby
Mario Kart Mario in two editions, Luigi's Mansion Luigi (Standard) as a PVC figurine, and Kirby and The Goal Door as a PVC Standard Edition. These are mostly PVC and mostly in the lower tiers for this brand.
Platformers and classics
Crash Bandicoot, Banjo Kazooie (Walrus Banjo), Conker's Bad Fur Day Soldier, Sonic The Hedgehog Sonic, Pac-Man, and two Mega Man X pieces. A mix of resin and PVC, so read the material on each title rather than assuming the series sets it.
Everything else
Metroid Prime (Meta Ridley at 37 inches, and Samus in the Gravity Suit), Metal Gear Solid Psycho Mantis at 26 inches, Darksiders War, Darkstalkers Morrigan Aensland, Avatar Aang and Cowboy Bebop Jet Black at 1:8.
Sizes: from 10 inches to 37
Five titles give a size:
- Metroid Prime Meta Ridley: 37 inches.
- Metal Gear Solid Psycho Mantis: 26 inches.
- Yu-Gi-Oh Blue-Eyes White Dragon Silver Variant: 14 inches.
- Okamiden Chibiterasu PVC: 10 inches.
- Cowboy Bebop Jet Black: 1:8 scale. That's a ratio, not inches: one eighth of the character's size.
Thirty-seven inches is about the height of the Bay Two workbench. A statue that size isn't a shelf piece. It stands on the floor, or on its own stand, and it gets a corner of the room.
When I showed Marisol the Meta Ridley row, she didn't look at the statue. She looked at the number. "Thirty-seven inches isn't a shelf item. That's a site plan. Measure the corner, the doorway and the stairs before you click anything." She's right about the stairs. The box has to get to the corner first.
The rest of the grid doesn't state sizes in our data. Look them up on the maker's page, and plan for the base as well as the height. Statues like these sit on sculpted bases that can be wider than the figure.
How to pick a First 4 Figures statue
- Pick the character. Most people do this first, and that's fine.
- Check every listing for that character. Edition and variant can split one statue into two or three listings.
- Read the material. Resin or PVC, if the title says. It tells you a lot about weight, handling and price tier.
- Find the size. Five titles state one. For the rest, check the maker's page before you buy.
- Measure the spot, including the base. Height, width and depth.
- Plan the route. For the big resin pieces, the doorway and the stairs come before the shelf.
My take on a first statue from this maker
Here's my one opinion for this page: for a first First 4 Figures statue, start with a PVC piece. The reason comes straight from the data. Nearly every resin statue in the grid sits in the top two price tiers, and resin is rigid, so a fall is less forgiving. PVC statues sit lower and handle a bump better. A first statue teaches you where it lives, how much dust it collects and whether you look at it every day. Learn that on the one that costs less to get wrong.
Budget tier
The Standard Edition rows, the Urbosa listings, Mario Kart Mario and the Blue-Eyes White Dragon Silver Variant sit in the lowest tier this brand reaches in our data. Most PVC and Collector's Edition rows sit one tier up. Most resin statues, the Psycho Mantis, the Jet Black and the Chibiterasu vs. Dark Chibiterasu statuette sit at the top. We don't print prices. The Check price button shows the current one.
Who should skip First 4 Figures
Skip it if you want a figure you can pose. These are statues. Skip the big resin pieces if you don't have a corner you can give up for good, or if the statue would sit somewhere a dog's tail can reach it.
Skip it for a child too. None of the listings in our grid state an age, and statues like these are display pieces, not toys. At 37 inches, the Meta Ridley isn't a figure. It's a roommate that doesn't pay rent and needs dusting.
Safety and care
Statues can include small parts: a separate weapon, an effect piece, a base peg. Check the age label on the listing. Toys with small parts are a choking hazard for children under 3. Keep any loose parts in the original box.
Big resin statues are heavy. Lift with two people for anything you can't carry close to your body with one arm free. Set them on a surface rated for the weight, away from the edge, and out of direct sun. Keep the box and its foam. If you ever move, the box is the only thing designed to carry that shape safely.
For dusting, a soft makeup brush or a can of compressed air held well back does the job. Cloths snag on thin parts.
First 4 Figures next to other statue makers
For statues of comic and film characters, see Iron Studios, Beast Kingdom and Diamond Select Toys. For statues and figures from Japanese makers in a similar display style, look at Kotobukiya. Our statues page lists them all side by side.
What the First 4 Figures grid shows, from the titles alone, is how much it focuses on video games. If the character you want lives in a game, this is the first grid to check.
Material, edition, size. Then measure the corner twice.

Questions about First 4 Figures
Is First 4 Figures a good brand?
What the data shows: First 4 Figures titles state the material and the edition more often than most statue listings, and several give a size. The resin statues sit in the top price tiers of our figures data, the PVC statues lower. We don't have buyer review summaries yet, so we don't rate the brand.
Who makes First 4 Figures statues?
First 4 Figures itself. Its site says the company was established in 2003 and names itself First 4 Figures Limited in the footer. It lists licenses including The Legend of Zelda, Metroid and Super Mario, all of which appear in the grid above.
What's the difference between Standard and Collector's Edition?
The titles tell you which one you're buying, and in our grid the same statue sometimes appears as both: Mario Kart Mario and Avatar Aang each have a Standard listing and a second listing. The listings in our data don't spell out what the Collector's Edition adds, so compare the photos and parts lists on each listing before you choose.
Is resin or PVC better for a statue?
Neither is better for everyone. Resin is rigid and holds fine detail, and all but one resin statue in our grid sit in the top two price tiers. PVC is a plastic with more give, and the PVC statues here sit lower. If the statue will live near a busy hallway or kids, rigid resin has less give in a fall.
Where can you buy First 4 Figures statues?
The statues in the grid above were listed on Amazon US with delivery to New York when we checked in October 2026. First 4 Figures also sells from its own website. On Amazon, read the seller line and check the photos for the base and any extra parts, especially on the larger resin pieces.
