Kaiyodo Revoltech and Amazing Yamaguchi Figures

Kaiyodo's Revoltech figures are on Amazon US, but in small numbers and almost entirely from third-party import resellers, many in Japan. In our October 2026 check, none of the Kaiyodo listings we opened was sold by Amazon itself, and many showed only one or two left. What's there is a mix of Revoltech, Revoltech Yamaguchi, Revoltech SciFi and Amazing Yamaguchi figures, plus a few older lines. Read the seller line before the character. Then read the accessory list, which on one Revoltech listing includes a watermelon.

What's listed on Amazon US right now

Here's the plain picture first. In our check of Amazon US in October 2026, Kaiyodo figures were listed almost entirely by third-party sellers. Most were Japanese import resellers. A few were US resellers. None of the listings we opened was sold by Amazon itself. Many showed only one or two in stock, ship times ran about one to four weeks, and some added an import delivery fee.

We don't know why stock looks like that, and we won't guess. Kaiyodo hasn't said anything about it on a page we could open. What we can tell you is how to read what's there.

The grid above lists the Kaiyodo listings in our data that were live and deliverable to a New York ZIP code when we checked. Treat it as a floor, not the whole catalog. We found more Kaiyodo-titled listings than we could open.

What Kaiyodo makes: Revoltech and more

Kaiyodo's own site describes the company as one that plans, sculpts, produces and sells figures. On Amazon US, what you'll find is mostly Revoltech: posable action figures, plus optional parts sets. Kaiyodo's site says Revoltech uses the Revolver joint to make characters from movies, manga and anime posable.

The licensed lines named on the listings in our data include Evangelion, Macross, Gurren Lagann, Giant Robo, Gamera, Fist of the North Star, Metal Gear, Zone of the Enders, Ghost in the Shell, Monster Hunter, Transformers, Marvel and The Dark Knight Rises. Here they're listing names only. What you're choosing is a sub-line and a box.

Revoltech sub-lines in the listings

Revoltech has more sub-lines than any other figure line in this section. The title usually tells you which one you're looking at, with a number after it.

Revoltech (numbered main line)

The plain numbered Revoltech listings in our data are mostly older figures: Giant Robo GR-2 (#21), Gaiking from Dangaioh, Evangelion figures including Eva-01 New Movie Edition and Proto Type-00 (033), the Macross VF-1A Super Valkyrie (038) and Regult (#051, 4.5 inches), Kerberos Panzer Cop (#061, 4.9 inches), two Gurren Lagann listings (No.062 and No. 66, 4.9 and 4.3 inches), the Mass Production EVA (Perfect Edition) No. 118 at 4.7 inches, and a Muv-Luv Alternative Takemikaduchi Type-00R at 5 inches with 16 joints, parts, accessories and a base.

Who it suits: someone filling in a set they started years ago. Who should skip: a new collector looking for a first figure with a clear box list. Many of these listings say very little about what's inside.

Revoltech Yamaguchi

These are numbered Revoltech figures with the Yamaguchi name in the title. Our data has the Evangelion Unit-02 "The Beast" (No.090, 5.5 inches, PVC/ABS), Monster Hunter's Rare Species (No.121EX, 8.1 inches, the tallest in our data), Zone of the Enders Anubis Ardjet (#130), Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Snake (#131, 5.5 inches), Evangelion Evolution Type-02 (No.137), Type-09 (#138, 7 inches, scythe) and Type-08 Beta (#139, 6 inches, 20 joints), and Raiden White Armor from Metal Gear Rising Revengeance (No.140EX).

The Anubis listing names a nail saber, two exchange hands, wisps, defense-form head parts, a three-piece display stand set and a container. The Raiden listing is longer: seven optional hands, a visor, eyeball parts, a blade, a knife, a sheath, a mount arm, a leg blade part, a posture stand, a display stand set, effect parts, a cardboard box craft and a watermelon. I've read a lot of parts lists at the shop. That's the first one with produce on it. It's also the only accessory on this page I'd keep away from the paint shelf for a different reason.

Revoltech SciFi

SciFi titles cover film characters and vehicles. Our data has Daimajin (#002, 4.9 inches), Gamera (#006, 3.9 inches) and Gyaos (#007), Moguera from The Mysterians (#013), Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean (5.3 inches, 16 joints), Optimus Prime from Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon (19 joints, hands and weapons), War Machine from Iron Man (#031), and two Dark Knight Rises vehicles: the camouflage Batmobile Tumbler (#047, with a Batman figure, clear stand and nameplate) and The Bat (#050).

Who it suits: a collector who likes vehicles and creature figures as much as people. Vehicles take a different shelf shape: wide and shallow instead of tall.

Amazing Yamaguchi

Amazing Yamaguchi is the comic-book sub-line. Kaiyodo's site describes it as action figures themed on American comics, tied to sculptor Katsuhisa Yamaguchi, using Revolver joints and other joint mechanisms. Our data has one: the Spider-Man Amecomi Yamaguchi No.002 Revoltech, PVC/ABS. It sits in one of the higher price tiers of the Kaiyodo listings we track.

Kaiyodo lists many Amazing Yamaguchi figures as re-releases on its own site. On Amazon US, what you see depends on which importer has stock that week.

Fraulein, Takeya and Legacy of Revoltech

Three smaller groups round out the listings. Fraulein Revoltech #001 is a Neon Genesis Evangelion Rei Ayanami at 5.9 inches. Revoltech Takeya #004 is a Zochouten in a wooden-look version, 5 inches, with a display base. And the Legacy of Revoltech LR-039 Final Battle Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star lists an alternate head, two pairs of hands and a stand. There's also a Fist of the North Star 200X Rei listed at 6.75 inches.

Revogeo and Kaiyodo sofubi

People search for Revogeo and for Kaiyodo sofubi. Our research saw only a handful of Revogeo listings on Amazon US and didn't open them, so none are in the grid. For soft vinyl across makers, our sofubi page is the better place to look.

A Revoltech figures list by height

People search for a Revoltech list. The grid is the full one. Here's the short version from our data, sorted by the heights the listings state, so you can see what fits where:

Most of the people-sized characters land between 5 and 6 inches. The robots and creatures spread out on both sides. If you want one row that lines up, pick from the middle band.

Option parts and stands

Kaiyodo's Revoltech page lists option parts expansion packs as separate items, and our research saw Revoltech optional parts sets on Amazon US as well. These aren't figures. They're extra hands, effect parts or stand pieces for figures you already own. Read the title twice before you buy one as a gift. A parts pack with no figure to go with it is a very small box of disappointment.

Who Revoltech suits, and who should skip

Revoltech suits a collector who likes a posable figure with a big box of parts and doesn't mind waiting for import shipping. It also suits someone filling gaps in an older set, since much of what's on Amazon US is older numbered stock.

Skip it if you need a figure by a set date, like a birthday next week. With one-to-four-week ship times in our check, that's a gamble. Skip it too if you want a matching row of one size. The line covers too many kinds of characters for that, unless you shop the middle height band on purpose.

Revoltech vs MAFEX, S.H.Figuarts and Marvel Legends

Shoppers compare Revoltech with other posable lines. Here's what our data can say.

Revoltech (Kaiyodo) MAFEX (Medicom Toy)
Stated heights in our data 3.9–8.1 in 5.7–7.3 in
Stand listed Some listings Many listings (base stand)
Amazon US sellers Almost all import resellers Varies by listing

MAFEX heights cluster tightly around 6 inches, so a MAFEX shelf lines up. Revoltech heights spread wider, because the line covers robots, creatures and vehicles as well as people. For Bandai's line, see our S.H.Figuarts list. For a 6-inch line where every title states the size, see our Marvel Legends list. The Medicom Toy page covers MAFEX.

How to pick a Revoltech figure

My one opinion for this page: for a first Revoltech, pick a listing that names what's in the box. Only some of the listings in our data spell out hands, stands and parts, and with import resale you can't always ask the seller and get an answer before the order ships. A named box list is the one sure thing.

Then:

  1. Seller and ship-from line. Who sells it, from where.
  2. Delivery date. One to four weeks was common in our check.
  3. Sub-line and number. Yamaguchi No.139 and SciFi #047 are very different boxes.
  4. Height, where listed. From 3.9 to 8.1 inches in our data.
  5. Stand. Some listings include one. Plan for one if not.

Marisol read a delivery estimate over my shoulder once. "One to four weeks is a range, not a date," she said. "Plan for the far end." She was right. She plans everything for the far end, including lunch.

Small parts

Check the age label on the listing. Toys with small parts are a choking hazard for children under 3. Revoltech boxes hold small hands, blades and effect parts, so keep them on a tray and away from young children.

Kaiyodo facts we could confirm

Kaiyodo's site describes the company as Kaiyodo Co., Ltd., which plans, sculpts, produces and sells figures. It names Revoltech and Amazing Yamaguchi as brands, and lists locations in Tokyo and in Kochi Prefecture. We couldn't confirm a founding year from a first-party page, so it's not here.

Read who's selling it, then read what's in the box. Then plan for the far end of the delivery window.

Questions about Kaiyodo

What is Revoltech?

Revoltech is Kaiyodo's line of posable figures. Kaiyodo's own site describes it as using the Revolver joint to let you move and play with characters from movies, manga and anime. On Amazon US the line shows up under several names: Revoltech, Revoltech Yamaguchi, Revoltech SciFi, Fraulein Revoltech, Revoltech Takeya and Amazing Yamaguchi. Most titles carry a number.

What is Amazing Yamaguchi?

Amazing Yamaguchi is a Revoltech sub-line of action figures themed on American comics. Kaiyodo's site ties it to sculptor Katsuhisa Yamaguchi and says it uses Revolver joints and other joint mechanisms. Kaiyodo lists many Amazing Yamaguchi entries as re-releases. In our Amazon data, the Spider-Man Amecomi Yamaguchi No.002 Revoltech listing is one example.

Where can I buy Revoltech figures in the US?

On Amazon US, Revoltech and Amazing Yamaguchi figures are listed mainly by third-party sellers, most of them importers shipping from Japan, plus a few US resellers. Ship times in our check ran from about one to four weeks, and some listings add an import delivery fee. Read the seller name, ship-from line and delivery date on each listing before you order.

Is Kaiyodo still making Revoltech figures?

Kaiyodo's Revoltech page lists items with release dates, including new figures and Amazing Yamaguchi re-releases, and lists option parts packs alongside them. So the line is active on the maker's side. On Amazon US, though, what's listed is mostly older numbered stock and import resale, so the newest figures may not show up here when they show up in Japan.

Who makes Revoltech?

Kaiyodo does. Kaiyodo's site describes the company as one that plans, sculpts, produces and sells figures, and lists Revoltech as one of its brands. On Amazon US the brand line on these listings reads Kaiyodo. One opened listing showed Revoltech itself as the brand, and we counted it with Kaiyodo.

Is Revoltech good?

We don't grade makers. What the listings show: Revoltech figures in our data run about 3.9 to 8.1 inches where a height is stated, and many list extra hands, weapons, effect parts and stands. Fewer state a joint count. Because nearly all Amazon US stock is import resale, availability and delivery time are the bigger questions for most buyers.
